What it is

Y2K Theater Kids is a structured mentorship program for young storytellers. High school leaders guide middle school participants through weekly workshops, creative tracks, and a final project you can perform or screen.

Why it exists

Theater and film teach empathy, voice, and grit. Too many “clubs” stop at games and good intentions. We exist to give young people a real arc: learn, collaborate, ship something brave—together.

What makes it different

Mentorship is the spine. Older students model leadership; younger students grow faster with a peer they can actually talk to.

Tech is part of the art. We treat cameras, edits, and digital story the same way we treat blocking and breath—not an add-on, a core skill.

Momentum matters. Every season moves toward a showcase or film submission. You are building a portfolio, not filling an afternoon.
